SERVICE SUPERVISOR/CARE SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION

CRITICAL JOB ELEMENTS:

This individual may be the Service Supervisor for one or more home care services and may also serve as the Agency Administrator. The Care Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Home Care Organizations’ caregiver staff.

POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The Service Supervisor must have at least (1)one year of caregiver experience and or (6)six months of home care supervisory experience.
  • Past criminal background check & health screening.
  • Valid driving license, reliable insured transportation.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage personal care, companion, sitter, respite etc. caregiving staff. Ensures that the caregivers are adhering to job descriptions/assigned tasks.
  • Ensures that personnel policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Promote customer satisfaction. Responds to customer inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain initial & annual training schedule.
  • Manage employees’ schedules and assign shifts.
  • Manage call-outs and hiring tasks.
  • Validation for staff members.
  • Must attend initial and annual trainings.
  • Ability to pass a background clearance via DSS LiveScan (form LIC 9163).

ADMINISTRATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

CRITICAL JOB ELEMENTS:

The Administrator is responsible for the financial solvency, planning, and overall management and administration of the home care organization. The Administrator is accountable for all activities and departmental operations.

POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The Agency Administrator will have the authority and responsibility for the administrative direction of the agency and shall meet one or more of the following qualifications:

(1) An individual with a high school diploma or GED w/ (5)five years of verifiable work experience; or

(2) An individual who has at least two(2) years of supervisory or management experience in home care or any other licensed provider facility type regulated; or

(3) An individual who holds a bachelor’s degree in health, business or public administration science and has at least one year of supervisory or management experience in home care or other licensed health care program.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that the numbers and qualifications of personnel available to provide services are sufficient to meet the needs of the clients.
  • Ensures that policies and procedures meet state regulations and standards. Implements policy and procedures.
  • Responds to requests and recommendations from the Board.
  • Develops strategic and short-term plans for organizational development. Educates community to the Agency programs by interacting with numerous individuals and groups.
  • Ensures all employees are properly screened, on-boarded, trained, evaluated and supervised.
  • Must attend initial and annual trainings.
  • Ability to pass a background clearance via DSS LiveScan (form LIC 9163).
